The Townsville Dante Alighieri Society has set aside a room at its Pimlico headquarters, for the exclusive use as a library.
It presently offers a variety of novels, reference books, which cover topics like travel, art and gastronomy and magazines. These are written in both Italian and English and are primarily intended to disperse a greater understanding of Italy and its culture.
Some of the novels are of local interest in that they document the experiences of Italian immigrants who settled in this area. Other novels are written by reputable authors and should prove interesting to anyone with an interest in the Italian experience.
A cross-section of interesting music (CDs, tapes), videos and DVDs are also available for lending.
We aim to continuously add to this collection so that it will offer something of interest to all.
See the Society’s Coordinator for details.
